Between them, 2,956 left the U.S after the visa term expiry, while 6,612 are presumed to be staying illegally in the nation. In its 2017 Report of Entry or Exit Overstay, the D.H.S told there were 52,656,022 in-scope admissions of nonimmigrant to the U.S by the air or seaport of entries (POEs) with scheduled departures happening in fiscal 2017; the admissions in-scope serve the vast majority of all admissions of air and sea nonimmigrant. Though, 4.15 percent stayed exceeding the allowed window for departure at the conclusion of their program. For India, the rate was 3.4 percent, smaller than the national median.
