British Columbia Issues 186 ITAs

In the draw held on May 16th, 2018 under the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program, the immigration officials invited 186 new candidates to apply. The least score for International Graduates, Express Entry skilled workers and the international graduate stream, was only 92 points. Additionally, the score for skilled workers was 86 points. For the semi-skilled   and Entry level workers  it was only 60 points.

B.C. PNP Draw: May 9, 2018

The least score for international graduates, Express Entry skilled workers as well as the international graduate stream was 91 points. The score for provincial skilled workers was 86 points. The entry level and semi-skilled workers were not invited.In the previous draw, held on May 9th, 2018 34 candidates were invited to submit application in the technology-only stream.

British Columbia commenced the BCPNP Tech Pilot in 2017, with an aim to attract skilled workers in major 32 specified technology occupations. B.C. PNP conducts draws exclusively for technology workers from May 2017. The province is taking a position to have a benefit from the technology workers who are searching for alternatives to move out of the U.S.

This provincial nomination guarantees success in selection under the Express Entry System, by adding 600 CRS points. The Program also sets out the scores which the immigrants must obtain to get the invitation for immigration.

The score for an international graduate is 30 points lower to the  skilled worker under the Canada Express Entry, as well as in provincial stream. It is again lower For semi-skilled and entry-level workers..
