The Australia skilled Nominated Visa (subclass  190) is a permanent work visa for the individual, who tend to have qualification or skills that are needed by the Australian economy. But they cannot meet the Pass mark required to obtain the skilled independent visa.  This particular category is open to the applicants those who are able to satisfy the pass mark but they tend to access the priority processing which does apply once the state or territory sponsorship is offered  by the participating state or territory Govt. agency.

The individuals in order to be eligible for this  Australia skilled nominated visa (subclass 190), it entitles them to gain permanent residence anywhere in the Australia.  Based on the sponsorship from the participating state or Territory government agency.

Nomination from the state or territory govt does not automatically result in the grant of visa.  The individual application should be assessed by the dept. of immigration and citizenship against the number of visa specific requirement. They would be granted a  Australia skilled nominated visa if all requirement are met.

  • The individual should  be able to gain minimum of 60 points in the points test
  • Their age should be less than 50, when they apply
  • They should be able to demonstrate that they have competent English
  • They should have post secondary qualification
  • They should have nominated occupation which must be on the state migration plan of the particular state or Territory that sponsor them
  • Before the applicant apply, they should have their skills assessed  by the Australian assessing authority designated to assess their nominated occupation
  • They must provide an evidence that they have been in paid employment at 12 months in any of the occupation found on the list of skilled occupation within the last 2 years.
  • The individual should obtain the state nomination before they submit their visa application
  • The individual should be in good health and they should also undergo a medical examination
  • They should show that they are of good character
  • They should must sign an Australian Values statement
